Health insurance for your holidays The sun shines, everyone is going to the beach and you? You feel sick! Not nice thinking of this, but what, if this really happens? First the good news: Nationals of EU countries can get free medical treatment in Spain on production of the relevant paperwork: for British people it’s the form E111, although for holiday-makers, private insurance is highly recommended. Spain has a very good national health service that works alongside a wonderful private sector. Hospitals are of a very high standard. – But nevertheless, for more comfort and safety you are best advised to take your own private travel insurance, which will allow you to benefit from medical services free of charge in most cases. |
